Youth Noise

In case anyone is interested......

I'm Kate from YouthNoise (www.youthnoise.com), a social networking site for young activists. We have partnered with Nike to create Play City, an initiative to encourage young people to use sports to make the world a better place. You can find out more about Play City at www.youthnoise.com/playcit
y - you should check it out, it's actually pretty cool (I didn't design it so I can say that).

Anyway, I'm writing to you because you are an admin on the Darfur Awareness Week at UCLA group. We are contacting college-aged people in the Los Angeles area to help us start a movement that would encourage people to use sports for good- having a skateboarding competition to raise money for cancer research or organizing a soccer tournament for disadvantage kids, for example. We still have a few spots left in the first-ever Play City Training Camp in LA, and we thought that this might be something you might be interested in being a part of. To learn more, check out http://www.youthnoise.com/playcity, or go to our YouthNoise Play City page (http://www.new.facebook.com/pages/YouthNoise-Play-City/18339579876?ref=s) for some ideas and resources for potential projects.

Oh, and one last thing - could you send this out to your group's members and let them know about this opportunity? We really need your help in spreading the word about this whole deal. If you have any questions/comments/complaints, feel free to email me at kate@youthnoise.org or respond here.

Thanks so much,
Kate Lewis
